New Atlanta Eye Clinic opens to all patients

The New Atlanta Clinic is the newest addition to the longstreet community clinic network, which offers vision care for people with macular degeneration and other vision-related diseases.
The facility, located at the corner of E. Main and Main streets, will open this fall.
Longstreet’s vision clinic has more than 700 patients.
Dr. Joseph Fong said the vision clinic will provide services to people with a variety of vision- and vision-disabling conditions.
The clinic will have a total of eight beds, each with a private physician, he said.
The facility will offer the first-ever longstreet eye clinic in Georgia.
The new facility is a partnership between Longstreet and the Atlanta Eye Institute.
Drs.
Michael Niehaus and Michael A. Smith will be on site as the co-director and associate clinical director.
The first-of-its-kind, longstreet vision clinic is a new facility for people living with maculopathy, a disease that damages the central nervous system.
It is estimated that around 1.5 million people in the United States have a form of maculopapular degenerative disease.
The Atlanta Eye institute, which has offices in Atlanta, Savannah and Columbus, Ohio, has about 1,000 members.
Longstreet is not affiliated with the institute, but has long been a supporter of its work in macular research and development.
The Longstreet vision care center will provide a full range of services for people experiencing vision loss.
Patients will receive specialized, in-depth eye care, as well as a range of rehabilitation and eye care services.
The vision care facility will also be home to a long-term care center and a full-time vision care nurse, as part of a new partnership between the institute and Longstreet.
Long Street patients who are experiencing vision impairment and who are willing to have their condition treated in a dedicated longstreet facility will receive free services from the facility, including in-person and remote care.
Long street will also offer a number of longstreet eyeglasses and sunglasses to patients, as long as they are returned within 30 days of their initial visit.
Patients can also visit the facility and get in-store consultations with an in-house vision care team.
The Longstreet Clinic has a goal to provide up to 20,000 longstreet glasses and glasses to its patients in 2020.
The center is part of the Longstreet Community Clinic Network, which was formed in 2008 by Longstreet, the Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota.
The network has more and more community clinics offering vision care to the public.
It provides vision care services to more than 50,000 patients nationwide.
